About Us

Judy Blackburn - Judy is the practice principal and graduated from the University of Queensland in 1981. Judy gained a wide range of experience in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy both in Australia and England before settling in Ballina in 1987.
Judy is motivated by helping people gain control of their pain and educating them about their injury to prevent further problems.
Judy has always been interested in sports injuries and with the ageing population she has become interested in providing skills to help manage balance problems, osteoporosis and keeping fit at any age.

Darren Roberts- Darren joined the clinic in 2009. Darren has been a physiotherapist for 20 years, qualifying in 1990 in London. In 1999 he also completed his MSc in physiotherapy, again in London.

During his career Darren has worked in a number of locations including England, USA and France before settling in Australia in 2000. Although his experience has been varied, Darren developed a keen interest in sports injuries having worked in a ski resort in France and a sports injury clinic in London. In his spare time Darren enjoys running and triathlons.
